Hi,

I recently acquired a 2001 B411 soon to be named Gratitude. The deck fitting on the forward
Holding tank is frozen. Beneteau said they used two sizes so we would have to measure the fitting to get the right replacement. I loosened the fitting and could pull the hose up about an inch and that was it. The the hose does not appear to have a Hose clamp and the upper part of the hose is impossible to reach from the inside of the boat in the forwArd head. Has anyone replaced this fitting. What Am I missing.

thanks

ivor

Hi
My B393 had a similar problem except that its the filler for the fwd water tank on the port side. access to the hose etc was behind the moulded cabinet in the forward head. easily removed once i lifted off the mirror door and removed the 4 small self tapper screws.
does this help?

Andy

Thanks yes, i did not look closely inside the medicine cabinet. That might be part of the solution.

Once you get the med. cabinet out, you can get access to the hose, and clamp by reaching forward between the liner and hull. Disconnect and install the new part. Make sure you bed the new fitting with sealant. Use the new SS deck fitting, those old aluminum fittings corrode tight. Don't use a winch hand to tighten any of them.
