Does anyone have a lead on or a replacement model for the forward hatch of a P30?

My 85 P-34 has Bomar hatches. I have no idea if they used them in 1974.Nautical outfitters also have a lot.

I bought a nice new low profile Lewmar that set right in there. Very nice fit. Sorry, already gave away the Bowmar.

Keep the sheets from catching

See link for a remedy for the problem of jib sheets catching under the lip of Bomar (and maybe other) hatches. I did this this spring & did not once catch jib sheet where former owner said it was a chronic problem, snapping multiple hatch dogs. Scroll down a ways in the link, there's a letter w/an illustration.

Hatches catching jib sheets

I've heard of an even simpler remedy. Just find a piece of line, or bungee cord, sized so that you can jam it in the groove and you won't be catching jib sheets in there.
