Forward Hatch Prop

Greetings,
I have a 1980 O'Day 30 and the metal prop that holds open the forward hatch apparently has a stripped gear on the set screw that will not allow me to keep the hatch propped open. Does anyone know where to find a replacement part or alternative method to do the job? I could just use the metal piece itself to prop it open but that doesn't allow me any flexibility in opening sizes. Thanks.

I assume it is original equipment. I have only owned the boat since last fall.

I called Rudy at DRMarine. He knew exactly what I needed and told me to look up the part (it is called a windshield adjuster) on the Perko website and order it through West Marine. I found several that look right. Now to get the measurements off mine to get the exact part. Voila!
