forward hatch leaking 2004 B331

Have been finding puddles of water in the forward area in front of v berth. may be leaking forward hatch. also finding some water under v berth (where instrument thru hulls located), anyone else have this problem? i have no idea where the water under the v berth is coming from (leaky thu hull?)

JJ. My forward hatch leaks every so often especially during a driving rain. I clean the seal and lubricate with a silicon greese and it stops for a while and then redo when needed.Have water under the V-berth after I fill the water tank, must be a leak in the plumbing but haven't found it yet. Find it doesn't leak if I don't fill all the way to the top. Yup, instead of fixing, took the easy way out and just don't overfill! Will get to it someday ;-)BarryAvago - B331

Barry-thanks for your reply. I think it is very odd that the area under the forward hatch does not drain to the bilge --doenst drain at all. considering drilling a small whole to drain to the bilge--any idea whats under the floor in that forward area

It is odd that this area doesn't drain to the bilge. Don't know what's under there and if drilling a hole is possible. I just wipe it out with a sponge. Let me know if you decide to do the drill thing.BarryAvago =B331

Galley foot pump

Has anyone installed a galley foot pump on their 331?I was about to do that and realized that the pump needs to be installed on the waterline before the electric pump because the foot pump is not designed to take pressure. Probem is that the electric pump is located in the head and the foot pump needs to be at the sink in the galley...Any advice???Thanks Liam.
