Sometimes we run into things that you folks should be aware of. ON the 26 under the V Berth, I strongly suggest that you drill a hole in it near the hull to allow any water to escape; otherwise it will collect and cause that panel or bulkhead to rot as the water has no place to escape. In this situation, The hose from the anchor locker was the culprit causing the leak with water standing in the forward bulkhead for a long time. If you hear water thrashing about, then you will know what I mean. You have to have a drain hole in that panel. Like anything, it can be fixed but we are going to have to remove the bulkhead entirely and put an new one in its place.

Need a picture.

I think that I know what you are talking about. On my '94 26 there was some staining foward on the cloth liner. Removed the bulk head (just a small piece of vinyl covered wood) and tightened the hose clamps. alan

Check the U bolt in the Anchor Locker Also

Mine was installed with holes that were too big and no sealant. I removed the ubolt and installed a large padeye that lined up with the holes already drilled. Lots of sealant and a big backing plate made it much better than before.
