Forward air conditioner

I had to replace the 18k btu in the saloon. A replacement was around 2300 but found a mermaid for less. I did have to rework the ducting but it works well for me. Since the forward unit does not have ducting it should be easier to relace with another brand. When you order a new one keep in mind that these units are 230/250 volts.

Mine has ducting.
Can't you get this repaired?

If you were happy with the Marvair, I'd stay with it.
Just much easier than changing all duct, control head, etc.
Your existing control head should work with a replacement.
This will save you $400 if you switch to other mfg.

I have never heard of the brand of you that you have. But I just sent a mermaid air unit to Florida from Houston. I had a new compressor installed and some other little odds and ends taken care of and the bill was only less than $500 .My unit was from 1994. And now it's as good as new. Not a bad deal. I would try contacting your manufacture to see what they can do for you. With my great service. I'm sold on mermaid air.
