Yeauh!

I have a scrolling mouse, so this is an improvement that gets my vote. I've been hitting the print-all option in order to scroll through the threads, so either way the majority goes is still fine with me.

Nice Job

Much faster and easier to read and review all of the replies. Especially if you want to go back to a reply that you've all ready read. A lot less clicking and waiting. Ever think about having a section where boat owners can have a profile along with a photo of themselves and their boats?

This is better

I have a crappy connection, so this definitely works better for me. The other way took a long time to switch between pages.

Question about the new format

*box It may be here but I don't see it. We need more pictures on this web. The age of digital cameras is here and digital images work. What say the editor about the ability of your new format to take digital images easily ?? RD

Not so fast

:( Having seen other pages like you propose, I really don't care for the new format. What I like about the present format is that detailed questions, long drawn out answers and qualified rational are better presented and read on your current pages. The new format is great for one word answers and questions but not for the stuff we need on these threads. Over the past few years I have read many a long paragrah or two on a subject that was well worth my time to read and the author's time to print. Your new formt will bury it. Stay with what you got. Good show, old boy! *5

Mr. Herring, In a word, excellent! A fine upgrade to an already excellent site that is often responsible for my being late to work. (good thing I'm the boss, no one can yell at me!)

Photo, profiles

Profiles: we do have a place for a photo and profile info... click the Owner Direcotry tab. Now, the challenge is linking them to the forums. I am about half done (well, 1/3 done) with a system that ties your profile to your forum posts, boat reviews, chandlery history, etc. It also has few other bells and whistles that will be a surprise. Photos: I would _love_ to see more photos, but until I can come up with auto-image editing scritps or people learn how to use digital cameras/image editors, it's a chalenge. Youy wouldn't believe how many images I get that are 2000 pixels wide (this colum is about 450 pixels) and 2 Mb in size (a couple minutes of download on a dialup connection). That's why you have to click on them now: so they're an option not required to read the post. There are some alternative, though, and I will look into them...

I like it

I like having all of the thread displayed. The old way was too time-consuming. Just don't try to get too fancy and muck up the simple, straight-forward format without a lot of bells and whistles. Bob

Nice

Phil, you have outdone yourself again. Quick and easy to use; very powerful for those of us that must look through all posts. I guess you will be cutting it in to the rest of the posts(?) Like Peggy says, it appears only on this one post. It would be a major hassle to have to alter the address as you mentioned in your last post to view this way.

Very, very nice job.

I really like what I see, but you could do anything and it would still be better than spam-generators like those at #$!**&! yahoo.

hahahaha!!!!!!!!!

this is silly..... this thing seems to work ok, but the old way was a bit better... the links to all the replys in this one are about 5 feet up the screen. I think the best bet would be to just use both, if some people like this vertion they can use it and if they feel old and scared they can stick with the old one... Of corse this is dependant on these posts being visable in the old format and vise versa.... hmmmm..... and I am not going to be messing about with: pview.tpl or pviewall.tpl any time soon...

it is! cool, keep both!

this is nice, since everything is visible in the old format and the new, why not keep both?
