Looking to replace all the 7x19 SS rigging on my Catalina 30, standard rig. The rigging is about 6-10 years old. Previous owner not exact about that, don't want to take any chances. Looking for a good rigging shop or chandlery in southern california area. Thanks gang! grant

If you're doing it yourself, you will save a bunch of money by calling: Bay Sailing West, 2102 S. Wright St., Santa Ana. 714 557-1123. Get the specs from the C30 website, or remove a few pieces at a time and take them in to be matched. Use your halyards for support, but the mast is pretty stable when there is no sail attached. I replaced lowers first. Then uppers. Then backstay and forestay. Turnaround time is pretty quick from the shop so it doesn't take too long to do it this way, and you save so much money it's ridiculous. Take your turnbuckles and toggles in for inspection also. The most expensive thing is replacing the hardware, not the wire. Hopefully you won't have to replace too much of it.
