Thanks for good advises regarding roller foresails!

I yesterday contacted a sailmaker to inquire about prices etc., and he recommended that I
buy two (furling) foresails - one large for little wind and one smaller for heavier winds, which
could also be used as a stormsail. He said the fabric in the large genoa would be to frail for
use in more heavy winds and the fabric in the smaller to thic for light winds. Is it really
necessary with two foresail when using a furling-system?

The best choice is a composite sail with an adhesive UV cover. The
performance is excellent. I am using a pentax style MAXX cloth from
Contender. It rolls up beautifully to a high wind sail. The sail is a
bit heavy but there is is essentionnlly no stretch. The problem is
that it is expensive. I anticipate a life of 7 to 10 years where it
should explode through delamination and fatigue.
