Fore Hatch

Has anyone had any problems with their fore hatch. Mine has always seemed a little weak at the attachment points and latch. Are there any suitable aftermarket replacements or has anyone replaced their piston adjusting arm? If no one has had nay problems, I will leave it, but if there is a readily available replacement or upgrade I would consider replacing mine. Any info is appreciated.

We've had no problems with the hatch - not even a drip/leak in nine years and there have been occassions when we've had some heavy seas over it. We have replaced the piston arm, but our method of replacement can't really be passed on as I used a hydraulic steering damper which I took of a Yamaha TZ350 racing motorcycle about twenty years ago - it's doing a much better job on the Vega than it ever did on the race bike!
