I read the manual up and down, and no mention of that button could be found. It referenced just the Ignitor button and actually reference it in the wrong location as well.

Like NoProb says.

It overrides the thermocouple. The thermocouple only lets gas flow when the burner is hot. Its a safety if the flame goes out. The override lets gas flow when the burner is just being lit and is cold.
