Received an email from my YC regarding weather information. Thought it should be posted here as well.

Hello Mariners,

I was wondering if I could get feedback on a service that we have been providing for many years.

Currently, whenever there is a tropical storm or hurricane north of 15.0 North latitude and east of 125.0 West longitude (i.e. west of southern Mexico and/or Baja Mexico), we will put a broadcast on the 24/7 weather radio (VHF/NOAA) that gives an update on the tropical storm's/hurricane's position, strength and movement.
This is done as a service to boaters who sail from So-Cal ports down to destinations in Baja.
However, we would like to know if this is still a service that is desired by the marine community.

Is it important to you that we continue to broadcast updates on hurricanes or tropical storms that are west, southwest or south of Baja or southern Mexico over the weather radio? If so, why?

Any feedback you could give would be most appreciated. Thank you!
