HUNTER 31 OWNERS, I just purchased a 1987 HUNTER 31. These boats came from the factory with FOOTBLOCKS. By the time I took possession...there were 4 threaded holes on each raised pedestal...but, no other sign of the FOOTBLOCKS. I'd like to find the brand & model of FOOTBLOCKS that were there originally...to replace them & match the fastener holes. Unless, any of you long time HUNTER 31 owners feel that the original FOOTBLOCKS are contraindicated and have a better replacement to suggest. Appreciating your help. If you email directly to me...that might expedite a solution to this problem. kruk@flash.net

Make a pattern and get them from Gauhauer

Louis: Much of the original hardware on these boats were on the lower end of the quality scale. Not bad, just not top quality. I think that some of this hardware was Ronstan (fyi). My suggestion is to contact Garhauer. The can/ will custom drill you a set of them at a very reasonable price. Their products have a 10 yr. warranty too. They are located in Ontario, CA. Original Footblocks

I replaced mine on my '85 Hunter 31 about two years ago. The original blocks on mine were made by Lewmar, and are still available, and much less expensive than I expected. (About $70 each) They are "Lewmar Ocean Footblocks Size 2". Go to Lewmar's website to see a picture and double check the dimensions. I ordered them from Florida Rigging, after getting their phone number from Lewmar. Their number is 1-800-718-1649. Happy Sailing. Tom Madura "Good Vices"
