Follow up to Depth Sounder...

I have an old transducer that is a thru-hull. What are the odds that this will work with a new depth meter? Can they work universally?

I have swapped transducers and head units

at least 3 times. I believe that if the transducer operates in the same range, it will work. You must make certain your wiring is consistent, ie. the conductor and shield are connected properly. I have mixed them at least 3 times...all with no problem.
