Follow up on Starter

To all: Thanks for the info and help on the starter. I had it looked at by a local person who deals in starter re-builds. Found the following: 1) Electrical line to starter contacts was worn at the in-line fuse. I replaced this. 2) Starter was re-built. 3) Solenoid was working fine, no need to replace. All told I got off with under $50.00 worth of repairs. One thing to note, if you do have starter/solenoid problems, check with local rebuilders for replacement parts. When I explained that a Universal parts dealer wanted over $500 for a starter he told me he could get the same for $200.00 (new).
