I removed the entire unit, took apart the module, cleaned it up, and re-installed it. One thing I noticed was the previous owner had used a very tiny guage wire to the compressor, so I pulled new larger guage wire back to the control panel. After reconnecting the unit it started no problem. The compressor came on within a few seconds. I let it run for a while but am still getting no cooling in the ice box. Any thoughts?TimI have an Adler-Barbour model DCM-12 on my 1988 30 Catalina. When Iturn the unit on, the fan comes on but I don't hear the compressor start (novibration either). I've turned the thermostat up and down and left it running for15-20 minutes but I still get no cooling. I've even jumped out the thermostatbut no such luck. Any thoughts?PS, if the unit is low on freon, can it be re-charged?
