There was some discussion a little while back about a bow roller for a h23. I just got done installing one on our boat. I got one from west marine (Windline AR-2) I pulled the front bow pulpit loose and the back two holes lined up perfect and I marked and then drilled out the other two holes. Sealed everything back up and put new screws in. The roller could stand to be just a little bit longer,in fact they had one at west marine but I didn't want one to stick out that far. I tried it out in our yard and the rope clears the front pulpit rod ok and the chain rubs on it just a little bit. It holds the anchor away from the front of the boat ok also. A guy will have to still be careful especially if its a little bit choppy. On my dry run the shackle from the rope to chain would sometimes want to come off the side if it wasn't lined up when it comes up. Only 7 more weeks until the marina opens up! Anchor Roller AR-2

I looked at the AR-2. My anchor is the standard Hunter one about 6 inches long and has a pin so you can lay the rope into it then put the pin back and resecure. The AR-2 requires you to feed the line under the bar. Is this a problem?

Anchor roller

I don't really think its going to be, I have only tried it in our parking lot. I was going to run the rope over the top and hopefully the pressure will hold it on the roller. We have a Danforth and it seemed ok. I hope I haven't overlooked something. Rob Morton SV Euphoria
