I currently have a 2001 Hunter 320 with the bulky pedestal and wish to swap out by old wheel with one of the new folding models. Can I do it easily and can I go one size larger than what's on there (32 to 36 inches). Thanks!!
Just measure from centre of existing wheel to cockpit floor, whatever that is say less an inch or so and then double that length, this is the max size wheel that would fit. You should also measure what width you have as well. You could probably get a much bigger wheel in as you do not have the concern as with the original wheel of getting past the wheel in the cockpit.
