Richard, I'd recommend you at least consider a reconditioned MaxProp, which are available depending on supply from PYI out in the Seattle area. I recently purchased a reconditioned 19" 3-blade prop from them and it looked brand new - these props are returned to the mfgr. in Italy for reconditioning and my purchase saved me perhaps $800.A Max is one of the props referred to as 'feathering', meaning the blades stream in some fashion by rotating around a blade or base axis. Folding props are like clamshells and offer very different motoring performance (poorer) but offer less resistance under sail.Jack
