Folding Prop

Anybody using a folding prop?
If so, can you recommend your prop?
What mfg; size; 2 blade or 3 blade?
Any difference in perfromance under sail?
Any difference in performance under power?

We have the same size boat. I went from a 3 blade fixed to a 2 blade flexofold and feel the change was beneficial. Only very slight loss of top speed, less drag when using canvas, and somewhat better in reverse. I have to say, though, that one of the motivations was sailing more safely through the kelp beds that lie await at the mouth of San Diego bay.

I second the Flex-O-Fold
+1/2 kt sailing, lost no noticeable speed motoring; stops better than 2/3 of the boats I have been on.
Best Price performance. I have had it on For Pete's Sake for 11 summers now.
Have won a few light air races too and it allows sailing in very light air that I would give up and motor in before.
Don't recall the exact size but the distributor knew what to supply. Just found out that Outlook trashed all my notes... including all the data on my C310 #147

Be sure to check out the Kiwi 3 blade feathering....great prop and must lower cost than other feathering props. We love ours.
