I am interested in buying a new jib made from NorLam sailcloth. I will be purchasing the 4.5 oz material, and am interested in how well it folds. I recieved a sample of the material, and it looks very nice. Will it crease badly when it is folded and put away at the end of the day? I have hank on sails, so it is not on a roller. Has anyone had problems with this material? Thanks Dale

Like any sail

All modern high performance sailcloth does not like to be folded or flogged. NorLam is no better or worse than other laminates. All of my North sails came with what seemed to be over-sized bags. If you fold the sail so it just fits into the bag, you will create the fewest wrinkles. Stowing the sail rolled will increase it's life and maintain it's shape better than folding, but folding the sail won't kill it.
