I have finally completed a project that I have been working on for some time- a folding cockpit table. In our H42, you can seat 4 comfortably at the standard cockpit table, but you can comfortably seat another 3 people at the wheel end of the cockpit, so I made a folding table- see the pictures attached. I now simply lock off the wheel brake when I want to use this table and it works a treat! It also folds away to almost nothing!

Great piece of work, very impressive. I saved a copy of those pictures when I get some time I would like to make one for our boat.
Thanks for posting this, Bob

If you do decide to make one, email me and I will happily send you some "learnings"- I made multiple patterns along the way to success and learnt plenty!

Hey eianm....I followed your thread on cleaning the mid ships water tank and it worked well. Did you ever tackle the forward water tank? Ultimately I want to replace the tanks with plastic but for now I clean and hope for the best. Sandy

Sandy- still on the to do list- but I will get to it. Plastic tanks are a tough option for the forward tank as you will have to cut up a lot of glass furniture before you have to cut up the aluminum tank in order to be able to remove it, then I believe you will have to fit 2 smaller plastic tanks simply to be able to get them into the space under the bunk!
The midships water tank is also a huge job- again requiring furniture removal ( cutting) , water heater removal- a HUGE job!
