A PO apparently sprayed or had sprayed a dense foam in the blilge beneath the access panel located under the steps (S2 9.2C). The bilge under the diesel is open and free of any of the foam. When the surveyor did his thing last summer he scratched his head and said he didn't know why it would be there. Has anyone ever encountered this? I am tempted to start removing it but if it was put there for a specific purpose I don't want to create a problem. It seems to prevent water from having a direct path into the bilge from the forward part of the boat (I discovered today that my fresh water fill hose became disconnected from the tank and some water leaked out and was lying just under the cabin sole). What are the various opinions?
