Not every day that you get a flyover at the yacht club from a restored B29 Super Fortress happened this morning at Ninnescah Sailing Assn
- Doc, recently restored by many of the original builders here in Wichita.

Quite a sight! :)
We have taken a ride in the restored B-17 that tours the nation in the summers, when it visited our area.
Love..... the sound (and feel) of big radial engines.....
Regards,
Loren

Fun experience. We have had several planes stop by our airport. They make great noise generally inspiring patriotism

Yes, I was down in the cabin and heard those radials droning of in the distance. He made a turn toward the club and flew directly over the slips at perhaps 1500-2500 feet. It was awesome. Of course, I'm standing in the cockpit with my mouth agape instead of running for the camera until after he had gone overhead. But, got it and got a few shots as he was flying over the lake.

On Sunday I was in the Chesapeake Bay near Annapolis when I heard something that I thought was a muscle boat coming toward us. It was a P-38 flying over! That, and pelicans over the Eastern Bay make for memorable days.
