Flush mount flag pole socket

Hi,
I want to replace the flush mounted flag pole socket on the boat.

It is very corroded. But searching everywhere, all I seem to come up with is a straight 10 degree canted socket that will accept a flag pole, but doesn't really lock into place...except because of the angle of the cant.

This one has a unique 'elbow' system that would allow me to cant the flag lower or higher. The system is keyed so that the pole won't pop out.

It this combination of male and female parts still available? Am I searching for something that was jury rigged to be a flag holder?

Thanks
Chris

That is very unique. Never seen one like that. Would an Anley Multi-position 1" flag pole mounting bracket work? $10 on Amazon.

I saw that. It's not quite there.

I will have to go to boat and get the old flush mount and flag pole 'contraption'
I just assumed it was a standard setup, until I looked this weekend and saw that the female sockets that are for sale are just 'smooth' hole that will accept a certain sized flag pole.

My rube goldberg setup has a 'keyed' socket that allows for that multi jointed elbow to slide in.
I do remember having to glue the flag pole into the end to keep it in place.

How about renovind flag mount, fill holes and installing a rail mounted flag pole?
Sure....just add more work!!!!
Or...I can just leave the crappy one in! Maybe sand and paint it black!

Photo of an example a stainless steel pennant rail mount with 17" staff. $30 from West Marine.
