Macgregor 26s TRAILERABLE
I am experiencing tiny pieces of foam filtering down at the stern onto the rear bunks. has anyone else seen this on their 26. Mine is a '94 s

Unfortunately Styrofoam will break down over time. I simply vacuum mine out about once a year. Of course the frequency that you need to vacuum will depend on where you live.

Thanks Bud. Hope that keeps my wife happy. I am curious though as to loss of flotatation. It occurred to me that injectable foam insulation might be a viable replacement for areas that may be losing a significant amount.

I don't think I ever saw loose foam in my '92 Mac. I hope it's not critters nesting in there. It's probably deterioration though.
You could inject foam along where the ceiling liner meets the hull liner, but if you ever wanted to snake wiring through after it would be difficult.

After trailering both wires and foam bits coe down from the inner shell. I tuck the wires back up and vacuum the foam. Bumpy rural roads and general infra structure neglect.
