Florida boat purchase

we spend a fair amount of time in Florida during the winter we're thinking of buying a boat down here and keeping it in storage while we up north (instead of towing back and forth). A question for Florida residents. Outside of normal sales tax, storage fees and higher insurance rates are there any other surprises? I.e. Excise taxes or personal property taxes?

It depends how far back does the bimini extends and how high it is. Maybe you are able to sit and look over the bimini I think you postedin the wrong thread.
