Has anybody out there had the flooring replaced on a larger Hunter?? I have a 1985 Hunter 40. One floor panel (nearest to the aft Head) is discolored and I can't seem to fix it with any repair I've tried. I'm thinking of replacing the entire floor. Any Advice??

I have replaced the floor in our Hunter 40
Unfortunately you have t remove the entire port side bench, not a big deal but plenty of screws to remove, while your at it you will find the holding tank for the aft head is under there as well, and probaly has the fibreglass cracked and leaking sewage into bilge.. You may want to replace this with a plastic tank. I refibreglassed mine, but I suspect that it is cracked again....ONce floor has been replaced make sure you but proper species plugs for screw holes in flooring and sand appropiately...

Thanks Jan. I suspected that was the case. Did you cut and shape the new pieces yourself, or is it possible to get a pro to provide them from a template??
