I am about to purchase a 2 blade Flexofold for my 99' H376/380. One dealer tells me I need a 17"x15", the manufacture recommends an 18"x14". Says the prop extends 3 to 4" back than a fixed one and can accommate the extra inch due to the angle of the shaft. They also said the extra inch will increase forward punch and reduce prop walk. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Others are tired of hearing this but Flexofold sized my prop and it is too big. And, they refused to replace it. They want another $1,000 to replace the blades. Good luck! An oversized prop stresses the engine and this is not good.

The one I got directly from Flexofold for my Hunter 31 works great. Why not see if they will agree in writing to exchange it if you feel it is not the correct pitch?

I got one directly from Flexofold. I quoted them the wrong gear ratio. They exchanged the blades (after I get them) for free. Good outfit.

I would get te one that Flexofold says is the right one (it is up to you to give them the right info).

I have a 3 blade and it has been great and I can do rated engine rpms etc.

Flexofold for a H380

I just ordered a 3 blade Flexofold 17x14. Company says I have eight day upon receiving it to either change out the blades or to get a refund. I am happy with this and hope it performs much better than the stock 2 blade.

Re: Flexofold for a H380

Update on Flexofold. New 3 blade was installed by a diiver. Reached 3550 and change on the tach with no smoke. Best news is we averaged 7 knots at 3k rpm in chop and 17 kt. headwind. Also our prop walk has decreased by over half compared to our 2 blade fixed. Prior, my boat's stearn would move 3' to port before moving aft, now it may move 1 to 1 1/2'. At 3300 rpm, we recorded 7.5 kts with the wind and sea on our beam. Not bad for a WL of 32'. All speeds were COG with GPS, little or no current.

Nice

I am glad to hear you are happy with your new prop and I did add a Flex O Fold back in 08 from a fixed 3 blade to a Flex O Fold3 blade and been very happy with it and remember tthey told me I could also return blades if they were wrong.
