Wonder how it looks up close??
Hi Danny, I went to the website that you posted and it sounds like a interesting product. I personally haven't ever heard of it before. I'm concerned about the appearance up close. I wonder if it has a plastic look to it??

..I had a built-up mahogany grid on one boat in the cockpit and it was wonderful to keep your feet dry and shed the dirt. This looks like something that could do the same job with less (nil) maintenance. Why don't you get a sample, and if you like it, let us know. Rick D.

Looks like "Flexiteek" is a panel where "Plasteak" is boards. I purchased "Plasteak"(they are just up the road) for cabinside trim. They made the strips by sawing the edges off a one-inch board. The boards are just like regular lumber, 1" is actually 3/4", and you work them the same. Next I will replace my handrails so they match the trim strips. The color is lighter than my varnished teak, not as rich looking although there is a grain. And very strong and easy to work with. Call or write for a sample.
