Globe 38 PCB
I have a 1979 Globe 38, which is going under major refit. I have had to remove some of the deck planking. (teak over fiberglass) The original deck plugs have a flexible gel-epoxy over the screw heads. It can be coaxed out without damaging the plug hole. The ones that have epoxy over the screw heads are nearly impossible to extract the screw without messing up the deck plank. Anyone have any idea on what I can use.

Use to help with the removal of the screws? softening the epoxy? Heat is a fair way to start. Epoxy will melt if it is heated enough.

Too many years away and mind goes numb. Thank you. For the boards already up from the rotten hatches it work great. That many I don't have to replace. Thanks

That has got me thinking that the flexible stuff was epoxy and the heat over years just softened it up?
