Is that the stuff they spray on a screen door, install the screen door where the boat bottom was, then go speeding across crocodile infested waters?

Nope
but fun commercial.

Yeah, my brother brought home a free kayak he got from a guy who wanted it gone...for a good reason. It was cheaply made and just falling apart, but still floated for a few minutes before it filled up with water. We took it into the garage, put it on a couple saw horses and discovered a long hairline crack running the entire length of the hull, bow to stern, where the two pieces of the hull had been molded together. We went to Home Depot and got a few tubes of it for about $50. We filled the crack with the glue and it worked for about a month until we went down Cypress Creek post Harvey....that kayak is somewhere at the bottom of the creek, home to a family of catfish, probably!

I used some to install snaps on the cabin hatches so we could put the canvas covers on. Several have fallen off after a mere 30 or less days. Back to the drawing board.

I hauled a boat one day a few years ago. Amongst other things, he wanted some thruhulls rebeded. He’d sprayed several coats of the stuff all over a couple of them. Myself, and the other mechanics on the yard rolled on the ground laughing about it.
I think it’s fair to say they still leaked.

The "FlexSTUFF" is only for a possible 1 day, temporary, low holding power adhesion, not water pressure sealing STUFF.

No Adhesive stuff works at all unless...
1) compatible materials.
2) Bonding to the edges and surface
3)Applied per instructions.

Think about how steel is sealed. Welding!

I have a small roll of FlexTape for a "first defense" to control/stop a small water leak, while it get the rest of my emergency STUFF to manage a boat leak.
As kloude1 noted UV light degrades "FlexSTUFF"!
Jim...

PS: I bought two cans of FlexSpray. Great for sealing Ant beds, makes them crazy, especially the clear type.

Fiber Fix?
I have tried that.
It is basically epoxy DUCT TAPE.;)

It is NOT an emergency stop leak.

I have a small roll for fixing a broken fishing rod or perhaps a busted running light pole or hand rail. Not a permanent fix.
Jim...

PS: Ever lay up fiberglass? Same technique in a roll.
