When I puchased this o'day it had a support pole through the v-berth and attached to the center of the hull, I had a custom enginerred beam made that runs side to side and is also screwed from the top of the cabin. I am still getting way to much slack in the side stays when under sail (reaching) Is this a common problem? I was told that this particular mast is 2' taller than the factory standard. Was this an option or up grade from o'day? and could this contribute to the deck flex? thanks, John
