Flat bottom dinghy issues

I bought a Honda 2hp that came with an 8'8" Achilles flat bottom rollup dinghy. The dinghy was squirrely and all over the place. An inflatable shop told me to put a pool noodle under the floor boards at the centerline lengthwise and try it. It was easy to do and it tracks so nice. Cost $3.00. I think I'll keep the dinghy.DanO'side

Good idea, thanks for sharing.

It may help sailors that have lost the center inflatable ribs out of their dinguies.

What a good idea!!I've got almost the identical set up ,8'6 roll up with the honda 2hp. kind of fun to maneuver. I've already got the noodles.Thanks for sharing.
