Whats the difference from a "flasher" and a "cruising spinnaker". Both that I have looked at seem to be cut the same. That is with one side longer than the other. And where does a "drifter" fit into this catagory? And please no replies about a man in a trench coat! thanks, cabinfeverHowie

I believe that a drifter is basically a large, light air genoa. You still use a pole to go downwind, as with an assymetrical or conventional spinnaker, but you can sheet it in and go closer upwind. It also uses an ATN sleeve, like the spinnakers.
