flapper valve

i need to replace the flapper valve on the transon for the exhaust. so far i can't find the inside end and i was wondering if someone could run this process by me. i have the new stainless steel one from catalina that replaces the old rubber flapper valve. thanks in advance.

Steering Quadrant Access Port

You should be able to reach it through the access port in the stern lazerette that is used to access the steering quadrant. It's a little difficult to reach but it can be done. I've heard of others cutting an additional access hole aft of the existing access port.
