Ironically, the mount on BlueJ was on the centerline, enabled by a split backstay and wire lifelines across the transom. But the base would interfere with the tiller extender that I would fold back when I drive with the tiller between my legs during spin maneuvers. So I moved it. As the vhf mast was on starboard, I went port.It just looks right! I'm moving mine from the std stern rail to the centerline of the transom.
