Fixed Ports

I have a 1979/27' Hunter with the original fixed ports/the four large ones. I really would like to replace these without costing an arm and a leg. I've been told they do not make them anymore. Any suggestions?

Gray Portlights

I have just replaced mine in my 83 H27, but I oppted for quality bronze replacements. If hunter used the same portlight in the 79 model, you can still purchase them through JSI in ST. Petersburg. The part# is G715-AD27.The price in the 99 catalog was $86.69. This is the only direct fit replacement you will find. The small portlight in the head and foward cabin is 5"x 12". This size is common and can be found with many different manufacturers. Personally I do not like the Gray portlights. They are poor by design,and the plastic construction makes for difficult maintenance. The lenses are always breaking, and when you go to replace them you are likely to break the mounting frame. The bronze replacement I purchased from newfound metals are $189 each, but are 7"x 14" and require some additional work to fit them into the slightly larger opening. The gray replacement is a direct fit and is the cheapest replacement you will find. JSI also has spare parts for these ports. Be sure you have the replacements before you remove the old ones. WRONG, Gray marine is owned by Bomar

Gray marine opening ports are made by Bomar, JSI of St. Pete, Fla, sells every detail, and the entire assy, their much better/stronger than Beckson ports, and you don't have to worry about sizes.
