I unfortunately have to down size from my S2 7.3 to a boat that i20' or less, slip rent financial reasons, Can share with me makes and models of boats that are 20 feet or shorter with a fixed keel? The Pearson Ensign is a nice one but 2 feet too long.

Edel 540

The Edel 540 has a fixed shoal draft keel, draws around 3'. It has a small cabin, V verth, 2 quarter berths. Beamy little boat, 18' long, 8' across. Believe they were later marketed as the "Sandstorm 540. They usually have a trailer with them.

Rhodes 19 / O'day Mariner

The Rhodes 19 and Mariner are 19' 2" boats. Both were made by O'day, and are still being made by Stuart Marine. All Rhodes 19's are fixed keel and the Mariner is available in either a fixed or swing keel. They share the same hull, but the Rhodes 19 is a day sailer, while the Mariner has a cabin. The Mariner 2+2, available since the early 70's has 4 berths while the original version had only two. Both have active racing clubs.

A good practical boat, sea worthy, inexpensive to buy and maintain is an early (Bulkhead model) Cal 20. Great day sailer or weekender. Sleeps four. has an 8 foot self bailing cockpit.
