Five years ago I started this board (17 Jun 2004 05:33 pm). My reasons were largely to pull together the dispersed community of Challenger owners. Along the way we expanded our scope to include Zephyr, Mistral & Caravelle. We gained many great, regular contributors (that's you!) and two great moderators: Iain McAllister and Tom Young.

While I needed to sell my Challenger "project boat" due to life changes (read twins), I still love the boats and enjoy supporting the community by managing this forum as long as it is useful.

At this point, I'm boat shopping again for a good'old-boat. I'm looking a little smaller (32-35') and a little more "ready-to-go".

May you all have quick and accurate answers to your questions and a great sailing season!
Best Regards,
David

I think I speak for all of us in thanking you for the foresight to build this wonderful forum. It has certainly blossomed and is a much needed resource for all.
Fair winds & blessings to you & yours

Yes, Thanks David, you could have cut us loose. I'm convinced this is a worthwhile endeavor, this site is supplying a life line to many of these boats, and they're worth saving.
