Fitting a outboard in a well

After many hard years of service my diesels about ready to give up. Has anybody any experence fitting a outboard in a well? Perhaps a 10hp. It looks like a good fit but any experence would be helpfull. Thanks

Hi....I've had several boats with outboards in a well. What size boat do you have ? make? Is the well allready built into the boat? If so, It seems like just a matter of measuring the outboard you are considering to see if it will fit into the well opening. If you are going to cut and make a well, that is a different matter. From what little you printed in your inquiry, it is hard to figure out what your problem, or puzzlement actually is. Maybe if you gave mare specifics, it would help get an answer.
