I have bought a Garmin 400c fishfinder for reef fishing from our C320 and am undecided if to try using a through hull location somewhere or hanging it over the stern somehow. Any 310/309/320 owners use fishfinders and how have you got them set up? Comments appreciated.

Through the Hull
I am not that familiar with Garmin, but they must have a transducer that shoots through the hull. You should be able to place it up near the factory one. Humminbird has one that is about the size of a hockey puck. You can epoxy it in, or like a lot of folks have done, use a beeswax ring and set the transducer in vegetable oil for good contact with the hull.
