anyone have a fishfinder or gps they no longer need,i am looking for
an OLDER unit so my boat stays as it should look,i am in the UK but
any help would be most welcome,thanks....SCOTT
When they were made they did not have GPS or fishfinders. Perhaps you
need a sextant and a piece of string with a weight on the end or perhaps
some fishing line with a hook!!
No Steve, Electronics were up and running. All you had to do was turn the
dial on top until the radio station faded out and take your bearing off of
the dial. Change to another station, do it again and cross the two. Walt
Hi Walt I agree but you could always be 180 degrees out. My Dad's boat
always had the latest gizmos but traditional seemed to work better!
Remember when he bought one of teh first Stanav systems taht gave you an
approx fix every two to three hours!!! Glad we have GPS now....
