Fischer Panda mystery electrical part

Does anyone know what this electronic part is? It is located on the red wire leading to the start terminal on the starter solenoid on my FP 10000i generator. It does not appear to be a resistor when measured with a resistance meter.

Could it be a ferrite core?

I agree, Ted, It looks like a fusible link..
Could be just a junction connecting the three wires. Should show up on their wiring diagram.

I thought Fischer Panda generators contained nothing but mystery electrical parts.

That looks like an IC package with identifying information printed on it. I'd google that for a start.

Some off label use of a component as a dual, paralleled, diode arrangement? I agree with @colemj, look up the part number

It's a semiconductor of some sort, like a LM317 voltage regulator or similar. Googling the numbers on the case will probably tell you what it is.
