When in my 20's from plans out of a wooden boat mag I built a 12' dinghy, strongback built, mahogany stringered, recorcinal glue 1/8" plywood planked, cat rig sock sail, varnished outside, painted white inside. Had family, outgrew it, sold it to a neighbor that had drooled over it since built(for about the price of the recorcinal glue, lol), then later kids and I built a 14' skiff for family fishing as a father/kids project, still have it(again, plans out of a wooden boat mag)
No sailing for about 30 yrs. Bought the potter last summer, did a complete refit. (is it possible to buy a used sailboat that Doesn't need a complete refit?)
Anyway, here's my thoughts of sailing it for the first year.
