The inaugural SBO webinar was last night and was a success! Well attended, and as you would expect, an exceptionally thorough and well-illustrated presentation by Maine Sail.

There was at least a metric ton of information I didn't know and it was presented at a level even I could understand.

Unfortunately, the recording function didn't work properly so we do not have this particular webinar to replay. However, we will offer it again in order to record it, along with part two of RC's electrical series.

Huge thanks to R.C. Collins (aka Maine Sail) for putting together such a great program.

I urge you to sign up for the next one, it's well worth your time!

Phil-
I couldn't agree more with this statement. Maine Sail made it easy even for a fluff head like me! I was riveted for the entire presentation. I can't wait for the next one.

I signed up the day after it was announced and never recieved any response. I asked about it the day before the webinar happened and never got any feedback in the thread about it. I was pretty let down last night.

Is there any way to get some feedback about if you are even on the list to be able to watch?

Sorry about that. Your email address wasn't on the list; did you sign up to attend?

Yes I did. After signing up it said I would recieve an email, which I did not. That is why I asked the day before when we would recieve the super secret number to dial for the webinar. Never got a response, it may have been lost in all the belly dancing talk in the thread.

I found the webinar very informative and did answer many of the questions I had about battery care and mounting. Surprised that it lasted two and a half hours, but I was never bored or overwhelmed.

I am specifically interested in recharging batteries for an electric motor while on a mooring rather than in a slip that has a shore power available. I use a Torqeedo rather than a gas outboard, so there is no diesel to bulk charge the 24 vdc, 225 amp motive battery. But most of the time, I don't discharge below 80% so solar and/or wind may be all I need for 80% of my needs.

Looking forward to the next webinar.

I know how you feel.... I logged in last night only to have my wireless router crap out and couldn't get my connection back.

I WILL make sure you get in on the next viewing....

I thought Maine did a fantastic job of presenting technical information in terms a layman could understand. That is a rare talent. I look forward to part 2! SC

I appreciate it. I am planning on taking out all the wiring in my Oday and starting from scratch in the next few months. I have already bought the new panel. I figured this webinar would have a lot of insight in where I am going in the next couple of months.

Things happen, we move on. It is all good. I think it may be a good idea in the future to be able to check if you are in the loop before the night of the webinar.
