If it weren't winter, I'd volunteer to bring it to you on it's own hull. But December north of Norfolk is no fun. Been there done that on a delivery.

There are three options. Go fetch it yourself. Hire a boat delivery skipper. Put it on a truck. You did not say on which coast of FL. Add a couple of days for water transport if it is on the west coast.

That shortens things up quite a bit, but still likely a hard trip on the water in winter. The downside for you now is that fall, winter, and spring are the sailing seasons in most of FL. They’re at the start. Likely to be the most local interest in the boat at this time of year, etc.:what: So, it might not be there by the time folks would wish to head north with it next spring. But, there is always another boat for sale coming along; maybe a better one, etc. Not to worry.

You might look at the "Everything you need to know" playlist on Lady K Sailing realizing that everyone has an opinion, but I thin he tries to be objective. I think looking in to the standing rigging differences might be insightful
