Brand-new to the form and sailing I just purchased an American fiberglass 21 foot sailboat. I'm trying to find any information on the boat it is a 1977 and I believe it is a dominator 21. Does anyone have any information on American fiberglass for example manuals or pictures

Cool, wanna teach me to sail! I had a guy and now I have a boat and he fell through. I am still trying to learn how to rig the boat. I was told that a manual was necessary for stay tension and other info

I'd love to, but a little north of you.

Some intrepid internet searches should turn up key data. The tension is a key data point but you may be able to find that in some forums buried.

The general rigging can be figured out on a 21' boat by trial and error and examining other boats rigging diagrams. With your standard Bermuda rig there isn't much complexity and should be comparable to an O'Day or Hunter of the same length.

Welcome to SBO Forums! Use the Search option for rig tension discussions. Try a local sailing club for instruction or at least a willing helper. U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary offered one of the first sailing classes I attended. Good basic info, but just book based. With the number of "meet Up" groups available on the internet you might find a group with a general search of your area. Visit the area where you plan to sail.....with or without your new boat. Best Wishes.
