We took a buddy's boat out today for a season opener. Great day! Strong sun, good breeze and good company. Hadn't been out sailing since Thanksgiving. Great to feel a moving deck under my feet.
There will be a day very soon when posts here will drop off
to nearly nothing. Everyone will be on, at, or sailing their boats rather than talking about it. Spring at last, spring at last, THANK GOD ALMIGHTY, Spring at last (With due respect to DR. MLK).

I LOATH you entirely, in the nicest way possible. I got the cover off and started on a few projects. Replacing lighting inside, making a salon table that extends, rewiring the mast light for starters. Always an adventure.

Splash on Friday and will be sailing home on Saturday! Unfortunately there is no wind predicted and it'll probably be a bit chilly but I don't care! The sails will be up and I'll be smoking an Acid Deep Dish to celebrate!!

I don't think I've ever looked forward to spring more than I have this year.

Cover came off yesterday, but unless I put ice runners on her, she's not going anywhere anytime soon! Lake is still well frozen! : (

Wow, 48 degrees North here and it's 72f right now at 5:42 in the evening. What a day!!!!!!!!!!!! No sailing right now however to to other commitments.

Never retire! I haven't had time to play. I may need to go back to work to have more time. I just cant' figure out the math on that one.

Amazing how this happens, been retired 12 years and still can't find time to get the few boat projects done !! Cover comes off in 2 weeks, then we'll try and sail everyday

The St.Mary's Georgia area. A bunch of interesting stops in the area and good inlets to go outside and get some ocean sailing in. :D
