Well we finally got Privateer into the water Saturday but not without one debacle after another lol.
We missed high tide but discovered that backing the truck up slightly into the water we could push her off the trailer ( Praise for those who invented roller bunks ). The keel was stuck in the up position and I could not get it down Saturday, but sometime in the wee hours of Sunday morning I woke up when I heard it drop down a foot due to slack I had left in the cable. I went out for about 4 1/2 hours Sunday and things went well and I enjoyed myself. I could only sail under main as the chain plate for the lower forestay was way to loose to do anything with. She sails well under main sail alone anyhow. This will be much nicer then the sailing I was doing last year . I took some pictures..
